Why choose Macalù?

My name is Simone. Macalù was born from an unexpected proposal from my father – to open a snail farm –

and from a bet I decided not to lose.

The name? I owe it to a friend. Macalù is "lumaca" (snail) with the letters scrambled.

At first, I wasn't convinced. Then I couldn't imagine another one.
